General Manager and Director of Golf:

Barbara Boone Scalcione, PGA is a graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Mississippi State University. She became a Class A PGA Professional in 1991 and has been in the golf business ever since. A native Mississippian, Barbara played golf for Mississippi State and continues to play tournament golf. The highlight of her tournament career was winning the Cape Cod Women’s Open. The personal highlight of her golfing career was playing golf with her father in Scotland.

Barbara came to Chequessett in November of 1998 as the Manager and Head Golf Professional. She currently has the title of General Manager and Director of Golf and continues to love both her job and living in Wellfleet.

Director of Operations and Special Events:

Reven Oliver joined the staff of CYCC in January 2005. She has a degree in Sport Management from Guilford College in North Carolina. She started playing tennis at her family’s tennis club here in Wellfleet as a young child and has been a tennis teaching professional for over 20 years. Reven's extensive sport background includes five years with the PR Department of the WTA Tour and operational roles with the Sydney, Salt Lake City and Athens Olympic Games.

Reven organizes all of the CYCC special events and has managed over 150 weddings at our waterfront property. She grew up here in Wellfleet. Golf Course Superintendent:

David Stott has served as the Golf Course Superintendent at CYCC since 2001. Prior to this appointment, he was the Construction Project Manager for Atlantic Golf Course Construction in Winchester, Massachusetts. David has also served as the Assistant Superintendent at the York Golf and Tennis Club in York, Maine.

David's background in golf course construction has proven to be an essential asset as Chequessett continues to upgrade it bunkers and teeing areas. His continued sculpting of fairways with the use of high, native grasses has helped restore the course to its original links style.

Head Golf Professional :

Christopher Hicks came to CYCC in the spring of 2009. Chris has been a PGA professional for over 10 years and has taught over 15,000 golf lessons in his career. Chris is an accomplished player who holds 3 course records and boasts a career best score of 61. His hobbies include scuba diving, weight lifting, and reading. He grew up in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Pro Shop Staff:

Hi, my name is Timothy Silva. I’m proud to say I was born and raised on beautiful Cape Cod and have been part of the team here at Chequessett for two years.  Music and sports are my passion and when I’m not out rooting for the home teams, I am working on my dream of becoming a DJ.

Tennis Staff:

Warren Silver – Tennis Pro and Sailing Program Supervisor

Warren’s tennis began in New Jersey where he played in tournaments and was a USTA umpire for 15 years. He officiated at every level of play from juniors through the senior pros. He also coached a Varsity high school tennis team for 15 years in Yonkers, New York prior to washing ashore on the Cape. For the past 12 seasons Warren has been the head tennis instructor at CYCC. Warren also belonged to the Nyack Boat Club on the Hudson River. He ran the junior sailing program, raced his sail boat and qualified for nine national championships. He is currently the sailing coach at the Nauset Regional High School where he has a ten year record of 123 wins and 37 losses.

CYCC Camp Director:

Tonya Felix took over the reins of the CYCC Kid’s Camp in the Spring of 2009. Her extensive background of working with children includes stints as an Educational Assistant and many years teaching theatre to kids. She is currently working as a Research Assistant for a program thru New York University during the school year. Tonya is a member of the local PTA and School Council. She lives here in Wellfleet with her husband Flip and her three sons.

Waterfront Supervisor:

Alex Kent has been a member of the sailing staff at CYCC since 2008. In addition to his Waterfront Supervisor duties, Alex will again teach private sailing lessons and Kids Camp. He has been sailing his entire life and went thru the CYCC Junior Sailing Program as a youngster. Alex is a History Major at Roger Williams University. He is a native of New York City and his hobbies include surfing and skiing.

Waterfront Supervisor:

Peter Mack has been on the staff at Chequessett since 2008. Prior to being promoted to the waterfront, he worked on the golf course side of the club and has been assisting with special events and weddings for years. Peter is a native of Cape Cod. He recently graduated from Tabor Academy, where he was a starting member of the school’s varsity squash team. He plans to attend Amherst College in the fall.

Snack Bar Supervisor:

Tia Scalcione has a passion for food that comes directly from her Italian heritage. Having studied painting at Boston University, she found her way into the culinary arts after moving from Boston to the Outer Cape. She opened a deli in Provincetown and has now branched into the catering business, starting Jezebel’s Catering in 2008. Influenced by Mediterranean and Indian cuisine, she focuses on fresh ingredients and simple cooking techniques that highlight these wonderful flavors.

Goose Patrol:

Q was born in September of 2001 and after a rocky start to her career as a goose chaser (As a puppy, the geese chased her all the way to the clubhouse); she has become a stellar “goose” dog. Each spring, she works hard to keep the geese away from the golf course and then spends her summer trying to “herd” the riding carts and playing early morning rounds of golf with the Director of Golf, Barbara Boone. She then goes back to work for the fall goose migration.
