Overview

The Chequessett boat house is located on Cape Cod Bay in Wellfleet, MA. Sailing is a way of life here on Cape Cod and can be enjoyed by all ages at Chequessett. From our Junior Sailing Program and private lessons for both children and adults to our weekly racing regattas, CYCC can fulfill all your sailing desires. Club boats may be rented by members only, while lessons are available to members and the public alike.

Junior Sailing Application

Junior Sailing Program Information:

ALL CLASSES ARE FILLED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS UPON PAYMENT. Due to the popularity of our Kid's Camp, we will only be accepting 5 children for the Sailing Only section of camp each week. We anticipate that these slots will fill up quickly so we encourage you to apply soon. We will be offering 2 day sailing sessions for juniors on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer. These weekend classes will accomodate up to 30 kids. Please sign up in advance as space is limited.

Age: Children must be able to swim. This can be demonstrated through a certificate or by swimming for the instructors prior to class. We prefer to have children no younger than 7 years old. Exceptions may be made at the instructor's discretion.

Supplies: Students must bring their own USCG approved life jackets. A limited number of life jackets are available for rent for $5.00 per day. This number is very limited and to assure proper fit, we strongly recommend bringing your own. We must know in advance if a life jacket is needed.

Private Lessons: Private lessons are available for adults and juniors. Contact the boathouse at 508-349-0198 to arrange an outing.
